Tour Dates Moved
03 July 2003
I have moved the tour dates to their own section: Tour Dates.

This should make the site easier to update and easier to read. As usual, if you know of any Prong news or tour dates then please let me know.

New Album Release date set
01 July 2003
It is rumoured that the European release of the new album, Scorpio Rising, has been set to 7th July 2003. There has been no official confirmation of this, with Locomotive Music's web site and HMV UK both reporting that it was going to be released on 30th June 2003 and Amazon.co.uk now reporting it as 7th July 2003.

New Album Delayed
24 June 2003
Release of the new album, Scorpio Rising, has been delayed. No date has been set yet, but it is expected within a few weeks.

New Section added to this site
20 June 2003
I've added a new section to this site. There isn't a graphic on the menu bar yet, but I'll get around to that at some point.

The new section is for press articles about Prong. These articles are scanned from magazines that are now out of print. I am unsure whether to put web articles into the links section or the press section now, so I'll have to have a think about that!

So far, there is only one press article supplied by Inferno Master from the Prong forum. This article is an interview with Ted Parson from RHiG Magazine. Go and check it out: harkin.org/prong/press.shtml.

Tour Dates Update
18 June 2003
Prong are no longer playing the Quart Festival in Norway and will be playing at the Patronaat in Haarlem, Holland. Thanks for "no one" and "controller" from the Prong Forum for letting me know.

In other news, "cycopeter" from SuicidalTendencies.com caught Prong at Fields Of Rock in Holland. He said "They rocked. I believe they played 3 new songs, but since I can't test it, there might have been an old song instead of a new. There was one very fast song that I haven't heard before...". That could have been Freezer Burn, which they have been know to play, but may have been new track Regal. He hopes to get pics from the Effenaar in Eindhoven - fingers crossed!

More Tour Dates Added
04 June 2003
More tour dates have been added thanks to no one from the Prong Forum who trawls Pollstar regularly.

It is great to see that Prong are doing 2 stints in the UK - that should give me time to catch my breath.

I've tidied up the mess on 02 July and believe that Prong will be playing the Vera in Groningen, not the Midyfynsfestival in Denmark. I hope I have this right!

Prong's New Bass Player called Mike
28 May 2003
Prong's new touring bass player is called Mike. Very little is known about the elusive Mike, but some of those who were at the Colorado shows over the weekend met him and have told me that, yes, he IS called Mike.

I've also added the venues for the other two UK gigs: Bradford Rio's (20 June) and Nottingham Rock City (21 June). Details are on the venue's web sites.

US Tour Dates added
22 May 2003
I've added the US tour dates for this weekend. Flips from the Official Fanclub posted the Colorado dates to the Forum after he spoke to Tommy.

I've also added the dates from Blabbermouth to the table above, however, there is a conflict on 02 July. Blabbermouth says they are playing Midtfyn Festival in Denmark and Groningen on the 10th July. Vera in Groningen say on their web site that Prong are playing on 02 July.

The released date for Scorpio Rising is currently set for 30 June 2003 in Europe with no date confirmed for the US.

Prong have a new touring bass player. No details have been released yet. It is rumoured that Tommy and Monte played the bass parts on Scorpio Rising, with Tommy taking the lion's share.

I'll add these dates to the table above early next week whe I have more time.

Prong European Tour Dates
29 April 2003

Locomotive Music have just released details of the new Prong album, including the cover (left).

The title is confirmed as Scorpio Rising, as if we didn't know already, and it is set for release on 30 June 2003.

I was treated to a preview listen of the album on Sunday (27th May 2003) and it's fantastic. Prong fans of all eras are in for a treat!

Prong have confirmed that they will be playing The Camden Underworld on 22nd June 2003. I was so excited, I forgot to ask about any other shows, sorry!

Finally, I have been told by a self confessed Belgian Prong Maniac (Koen Vanoutryve a.k.a. Scarrie) that Prong are confirmed to play the Dour festival in Belgium on the 11th July 2003.

Prong European Tour Dates
24 April 2003
Yet another date provided by no one from the Prong forum. Prong will play Fields Of Rock festival, 15 June 2003, Nijmegen Holland. This has been confirmed by the festival orgainisers via their website:

"Naast het luisteren van alle demo's voor de Locals Only zijn we ook nog bezig met internationale acts. Vandaag kunnen we 3 nieuwe bands presenteren: Prong, Glassjaw en Subway to Sally."

But you may have to take my word for it, unless you speak Dutch...

Prong European Tour Dates
23 April 2003
Prong have been confirmed to play at Germany's With Full Force 2003 festival by the festival organisers:

"Hardcore pioneers and Industrial gods at one It doesnt end with surprises for all who will join the Great birthday party this year. PRONG - who became founded by the CBGBs sound man Tommy Victor, moved more in Metal and Industrial Metal areas later and disbanded, with fright to the fans worldwide, in 1996. Last year they gave a sign of life with "100% Live" and this year they will perform at the FULL FORCE for the first time" (15/04/2003)

I've added them to the list below and it is growing nicely. Still no news on UK dates.

Prong European Tour Dates
15 April 2003
Several dates on Prong's forthcoming European tour have been confirmed (by the venues, not the band as yet). Thanks to metallifuk85 and no one for letting me know.

The Unofficial Prong website launches
02 April 2003
The Unofficial Prong website (harkin.org/prong) was launched on Wednesday 2nd April 2003.

Incorporating the largest collection of Prong information on the net, The Unofficial Prong Website has to be the second stop for every fan - after the band's own homepage (www.prong-23.com) of course!

Where permission has been granted, various articles from the internet and the press have been or will be re-published to provide a definitive collection of content.
